A cheap flight is it a bargain? Or is it a disaster?

Around 10 years ago, no one would dream of visiting cities in Europe just for the weekend. Although, new low cost airlines such as easyJet and Ryanair has made is possible. With airfares so cheap, it's difficult to turn them down. Thus Millions of people are now exploring Europe.

European air fares have halved in the past decade. This is great news for travelers. More people are able to travel. Traveling in its self has many benefits; it can broaden the mind giving you an insight in to new cultures, while also allowing you to gain a greater understanding of your own. So, surely cheap flights are good, giving people more opportunities and more life experiences.

Cheap flights have caused many disputes. The rise of low-cost airlines in Europe has encouraged more people to fly, therefore European air passengers has risen sharply over the last several years. Many residents have rejected this decrease in pricing as they are more focused on the wider impact of carbon emissions.

You cannot deny that this increase in flights/air traffic is one contributor to the degradation of the environment. In Europe they regard low cost airlines as one of the regular occurring factor to the degradation of the environment. So to conclude are cheap flights a bargain or a disaster? I suppose you have to decide for yourself and what is more important.
