Holiday Essentials

So you're going on holiday perhaps to Spain or maybe the Alps. Of course you'll pack clothes for the occasion, but you can't forget to bring your holiday essentials. I would recommend making a list and crossing it off as you pack. Here are a few items you may wish to take:

  • Passport
  • flight tickets
  • visas
  • currency
  • traveller's cheques
  • credit cards
  • photocopies of passport
  • personal house/car keys
  • driving licence
  • directions
  • hotel address
  • contact number
  • holiday insurance

As well as these bare essentials you will also require personal essentials, for example:

  • Camera
  • clothes
  • accessories
  • linen
  • beach wear
  • electrical
  • chemist
  • toiletries
  • beauty extras
  • Miscellaneous (e.g. batteries.)

There is a limit on how much you can bring. Only so much will fit in your suitcase, though more importantly you must take in to consideration what you can take in to a country. When you go on holiday, you go to escape and leave all your responsibilities and life back home; including your house, jobs and perhaps kids. You therefore don't want to worry or think you just want to be able to relax. Packing the right essentials and researching in to your holiday destination can help everything run nice and smoothly. But for this to happen, you've got to plan a few things in advance before you go. Therefore, thinking about your essentials, and thinking of a logical way on not forgetting them will make your holiday more enjoyable. This is why I recommend a list. The most important item is of course the passport. Don't forget it, and make sure it is in date and that enough time is left on your passport to travel.
